Senior Accountant/Assistant Finance Manager

Main Responsibility
  • Overseeing and supporting the finance, accounting, audit, taxation and operational matters of the Hotel operating company/companies
  • Assisting the Hotel operating company/companies in preparing the annual budget and forecast and control the operation capital
  • Overseeing the timely and accuracy in the preparation of monthly accounts by the operating companies, including monthly review of PL statements, Balance Sheet and Trial balance
  • Designing and producing timely financial and analytical reports such as Operational performance reports for owners' review
  • Managing the cash flow position of operating companies, as well as development projects
  • Managing bank facilities and payments to consultants for development projects
  • Reviewing and updating, in line with good practice, the individual hotel's internal control environment and produce a Controls and Procedures manual for review and adoption by management
  • Liaising with hotel operating company/companies in the various region and overseeing the compliance of statutory requirements Accounting, Tax and hotel operation business
    in the respective jurisdictions
  • Report to Corporate Office on consolidation, SBU reporting, annual financial budget and forecast
  • Possess a degree or professional qualification in the discipline of Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum 4 years' relevant experience in star hotel/serviced apartment a definite advantage
  • With good management capability in finance and accounting
  • Sound knowledge in Accounting (strong of GL processing) and Taxation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (with some knowledge of Japanese is an added advantage)
  • Able to travel for short assignments
  • Good interpersonal skills

Accountant/Junior Accountant

  • Responsible for multiple full sets of accounts
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance to International Accounting Standards or Australia Accounting Standards and all statutory requirements
  • Timely submission of management reports with analysis write up
  • Preparation of Sub-group Consolidation
  • Treasury management and Credit Control management
  • Monthly/Quarterly GST reporting, preparation of monthly BAS, annual FBT and income tax
  • Involve in preparation of budget/forecast
  • Formulate new policies and procedures and compliance of internal control procedures
  • Handle project feasibility study
  • Create and innovate new process for continuous improvement to current processes. Evaluate and improve areas of internal control weakness and inefficiency
  • Report to Singapore Head Office and Director of Australia
  • Liaising with auditor, tax agent, bankers, lawyer and corporate secretary and related parties
  • Assist in Corporate Secretarial and Taxation matters
  • Maybe task to handle payroll and HR related matters
  • Other ad-hoc assignments as assigned
  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA preferably a CPA/CA Australia
  • Candidate with working experience in Real Estate / Property Developer Company / Overseas accounts will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role
  • With some audit experience will be an added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Meticulous in numbers and documentation
  • Able to meet deadline
  • Dynamic, work independently and self-motivated with good interpersonal and coordinating skills
  • Initiative, responsible, flexible, proactive and positive attitude
  • Extensive travelling to Sydney office is required
